General Information

Location: The 2025 EIS Short Course will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Follow signs for Vine Street/PA Convention Center. Make a right on to 12th Street. The entrances to the Convention Center are located two blocks ahead at the NE and NW corners of 12th & Arch Streets. The room for the course will be provided once you are registered.

Lodging: There are numerous hotels adjacent to or within a short walk of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Travel: Philadelphia is easily accessible via air travel through the Philadelphia International Airport. All trains from the Philadelphia airport run through the center city with two train exits close to the Convention Center, Suburban and Jefferson. Please ask your hotel which exit is most convenient. If you are traveling on Amtrak, it arrives at 30th Street.

Attractions: The Reading Terminal Market, which has many restaurants and shops, is located adjacent to the Convention Center to the south. Philadelphia’s Chinatown is on the east side of the Convention Center, and two blocks west is the Benjamin Franklin Parkway where many of the city’s museums are located. Other attractions in the city include the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall in old city, the Schuylkill River trail which extends over 20 miles from Philadelphia north past Valley Forge, and a wealth of dining options at all price points.

If you have any questions regarding travel or any aspect of your stay, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to seeing you in Philadelphia!
